This website has been putting up a new picture about space and the universe each day since 1995! Some pictures are current, some are old. Some are actual images from space, some are from man's imagination. This assignment is to give you the chance to browse through this huge collection of images. Look through the last week's collection of images to see what has just been put up. Then go into the archive and choose at least three dates such as your birthday, or another date you find significant, or a random date, or a date with an interesting APOD title. Or use the Search function to find pictures about spectific topics. Which ones connnect with you? Which ones help you understand something about your constellation or deep sky object? Which ones give you a glimpse of something you hadn't thought about before?
Create a document that describes three of the pictures you found on the Astronomy Picture of the Day web site. Explain why you chose these three pictures out of the several you looked at. Tell me what is significant about them, why you find them interesting or intriguing. Include the date and title for each picture. Also include the web address. If you copy and paste the imae, shrink it down so it is no more than 1/4 of the page.
