1. Frequency means the number of wave that pass a certain point during a certain period of time.

2. Ionizing radiation means radiation (or light) that can rip electrons off of atoms and molecules, making them ions.

3. Thermic effects means this light causes an increase in heat (and what is heat? kinetic energy of atoms/molecules)
