1. If you were to detect possible signs of intelligent life on a planet in this star system, how do you think humans could communicate with them? Could we go there?

2. Radio waves are a form of light waves. If we beamed a radio message at this star system, how long would it take to get there? If the beings in that star system sent a message back, how long would it take to reach us?

3. What do you make of the fact that nature has isolated stars from each other by such vast distances?! Why is this a bad thing and why might it be a good thing?
